If you are wondering where I have been for the past few weeks, well, I’ve been a little busy….
Torturing little Cosette, being the “Mistress of the House”, and picking pockets wherever I could. Yesterday, Les Miserables was put to rest for us, and we are all feeling it.
Creating a show is like nothing else in the world-people come together and give their hearts and souls and their talents to share a story. And hopefully our story changes those we share it with in a meaningful way. Sometimes there is such a magic in the air when it happens, that no one knows how to put it into words, but we all know we were a part of something special. We laughed together, cried together, felt butterflies together, and held each other’s hands for just one more bow.
We also had bats chase us off stage, wigs fall off, and wardrobes malfunction. We went through gallons of Powerade, cases of Oreos, and hundreds of bobby pins. We learned from each other onstage and off. Some of us started 5th grade, some of us turned 40, and others prepared for college. What an adventure….
