New Year’s has actually never been my favorite holiday. BUT THIS YEAR:
I am ready to celebrate New Year’s like I never have. Can’t have a party, but no matter. I feel like we can see the light at the end of this long dark tunnel we’ve been treading through, and I am feeling so much hope.
As I think about the next year and what I hope to accomplish, I decided to focus on what I DON’T want before I can accept what I do. SO the question is…..
WHAT DO I NEED TO LET GO OF THAT IS NOT SERVING ME?
In the coming days, I will; be sharing the FOUR things I am letting go of that do not serve me, and I invite you to join me!
- #1: Limiting Beliefs: We all have those things in our heads that hold us back; tell us we are not good enough. Some of these have been there since we were little. Some made their way into our heads along the way. But we can never move forward until we really become mindful of these limiting beliefs as they arise. And to create a new truth for ourselves to replace them. How do we do that? It’s all about being MINDFUL. Listening to the voice in your head that pops up and says “You are going to fail, because you are(a quitter, fat, lazy, old, selfish….etc….)”. I also find that journaling really helps. Think about some things you’d really love to achieve, some really lofty goals you have, and as you write those down, what are the limiting beliefs that pop up when you think about those dreams? Write those down too! And after you do that, you write what the real truth is.
- Example: ” I want to run a marathon”
- Limiting Belief: “I am too lazy and slow to do that”
- Truth: I got my masters degree while raising two kids. I work out every day. My sister did it, and she doesn’t have as much fitness training as I do.
See? Not so hard! SO. #1 THING TO LET GO OF: Limiting Beliefs. YOU GOT THIS.
